Do I need to use my linked card to earn WOWPoints?

For most ways to earn WOWPoints, no — you don't need a linked card. The one exception is Dining Rewards.

A linked card is a debit or credit card you've added to your Perks at Work account so we can recognize your purchases at participating restaurants.

Where you earn determines what's required

Online & app purchases

No linked card needed

  • Read the merchant's offer details first — some merchants exclude specific products or categories (like gift cards or clearance items) from earning WOWPoints.
  • Click Shop Now from Perks at Work, then complete your purchase on the merchant's site or app.
  • Pay with any card you like — credit or debit.
  • WOWPoints post automatically after the purchase is verified.

Dining Rewards (3,000+ restaurants)

Linked card required

  • Link any debit or credit card to your Perks at Work account once.
  • Use that same card to pay at any of 3,000+ participating restaurants.
  • WOWPoints post automatically after the meal — no app, code, or check-in needed.

Common mistake

Swiping your linked card at a non-restaurant merchant won't earn you WOWPoints automatically. For online and app purchases, you always need to start at Perks at Work and click Shop Now first — even if the card you use is linked.
